How Divine Deer Teaches Gears and Belts Through Play

How Divine Deer Teaches Gears and Belts Through Play - Zigong Zhongqing Technology Co., Ltd. Operating under the brand Zoomking®.

Mechanical transmission is the cornerstone of industrial civilization. From ancient clocks to modern robots, various mechanisms transmit power and drive the world. Understanding its principles is the key to unlocking engineering technology.

"The Divine Deer Transmission Platform" is a large immersive interactive installation. It lets visitors rotate eight independent handwheels to control different joints of a white deer sculpture. This reveals how gear transmission and belt transmission work.

The installation combines precise mechanical structures with a dynamic white deer. The transmission path is clearly visible, turning abstract principles into hands-on exploration.

The heart of the installation is a white deer made of finely crafted metal. It is not a static artwork but a living mechanical platform. The deer's head, neck, limbs, and ears connect to eight independent transmission mechanisms. These mechanisms converge at eight handwheel control stations.

From a fabrication standpoint, the deer requires precise metal craftsmanship. Each transmission mechanism must be carefully calibrated for smooth movement. The handwheels use wear-resistant components to maintain precision through thousands of interactions.

Eight handwheel stations are labeled with the parts they control. Visitors turn a handwheel, and power transmits through the mechanism, moving a specific part of the deer. This one-to-one control makes the cause-and-effect relationship clear.

As visitors try different handwheels, they notice differences. Some turn smoothly and move quickly, likely using belt drives. Others require more force but move with extreme precision, using gear drives. Diagrams nearby explain each mechanism.

After gaining skill, visitors can operate multiple handwheels together to create complex postures, like a deer lowering its head or lifting a leg. This simulates how multiple transmission systems work together in a machine.
