Visitors turn a knob to adjust the sound wave frequency.
The particles inside the tube are instantly driven by the sound wave’s energy.
They levitate and converge into magical patterns of nodes and antinodes.
This vividly demonstrates the physical principles of sound wave superposition and resonance.

When sound waves travel through the tube, incident waves and reflected waves overlap.
At certain frequencies, they form a stable standing wave.
At the antinodes, amplitude is highest and particles jump vigorously.
At the nodes, amplitude is zero and particles remain still.
This is the “shape” of sound.
