An interactive acoustics science exhibit demonstrating sound propagation in vacuum conditions. As a science museum exhibit manufacturer specializing in sound wave exhibits and hands-on science exhibits, Zoomking designed this installation for science center exhibits, STEM education exhibits, and children's museum exhibits focused on experiential science education through multi-sensory interactive display.
Product Introduction:
"Sound in a Vacuum" is a classic interactive physics exhibit based on the principles of sound propagation. The device consists of a start button, an electric rattle, a transparent vacuum enclosure, and a stable stand, transforming a simple bell-ringing experiment into a fascinating journey of scientific discovery.
Under normal conditions, participants can clearly hear the crisp sound of the rattle. However, when the button is pressed to activate the vacuum device, the air inside the enclosure is gradually evacuated, and a magical phenomenon occurs—the ringing becomes weaker and weaker until it almost disappears completely! When the air re-enters the enclosure, the ringing resumes.

This custom interactive exhibit is part of our turnkey science exhibit solutions, backed by museum exhibit design and fabrication expertise, with museum exhibit installation support included. This intuitive experiment vividly demonstrates a fundamental principle of physics: sound requires a medium to propagate. In a vacuum, there are no air molecules vibrating to transmit sound waves, therefore sound cannot travel. This device is specifically designed for science museums, science centers, physics laboratories, and science education programs for primary and secondary schools, transforming abstract acoustic concepts into a classic, hands-on verification experiment.
Fun, safe, interactive exhibits for children’s museums, science centers and schools.
Custom design, durable, easy to operate and built for heavy public use.
