The "Hydrogen Rocket" is a comprehensive interactive exhibit integrating energy conversion, chemical energy release, and mechanical principles. This device consists of a hand-cranked generator, an electrolysis chamber, a gas mixing chamber, and a rocket model, allowing participants to create fuel by hand, witness a launch firsthand, and experience a complete "energy journey."
Participants first turn the handwheel to drive the hand-cranked generator to produce electricity. This electricity enters the electrolysis chamber, decomposing water into hydrogen and oxygen—the rocket's "fuel." The two gases mix in the mixing chamber, and when a sufficient amount of gas accumulates, the launch button light illuminates. Pressing the button generates a spark at the high-voltage electrodes, igniting the hydrogen-oxygen mixture. The instantaneous release of chemical energy generates powerful thrust, propelling the rocket model into the air.
