An interactive physics exhibit demonstrating standing wave phenomena using sand visualization. As a science museum exhibit manufacturer specializing in physics interactive exhibits and hands-on science exhibits, Zoomking designed this installation for science center exhibits, STEM education exhibits, and children's museum exhibits focused on experiential science education and multi-sensory interactive display.
Product Introduction:
"Standing Wave" is a classic interactive physics exhibit centered on the core themes of sound wave interference and standing wave formation. The device consists of a sound wave generator, a vibration medium model, and a dynamic visualization system, transforming the invisible processes of sound wave propagation and superposition into clearly visible dynamic patterns.
The exhibit excites two sound waves of the same frequency but traveling in opposite directions, causing them to meet and superimpose within the medium. When these two waves "meet," they interfere with each other, forming a special wave pattern known as a standing wave. In a standing wave, some points remain completely stationary (called "nodes"), while others vibrate with maximum amplitude (called "antinodes"), creating a stable pattern of vibration distribution.
